CBS Sunday Morning reports that the Biden family confirmed they’ll be joined by a feline when they move into the executive mansion in January.

“President-elect Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, won’t just be bringing their German shepherds, Major and Champ, to the White House. The Bidens tell us exclusively that soon they’ll be joined by a cat,” host Jane Pauley said in a clip announcing the news this weekend.

According to The New York Times, the Biden’s feline will be the first to be first cat in the White House since former President George W. Bush was in office. During his term, the Bush family had a cat named India.

The news comes weeks after the Biden family garnered widespread attention following reports that one of their pooches, Major, was also set to become the first shelter rescue dog in the White House once the president-elect takes over next year.

Next year will mark the first time in four years that the presidential family will have a first dog.

President Trump was the first president in 100 years to not have a dog, according to The Washington Post.
