Two arrests after cannabis farms found in bedroom and garden shed

Officers raided the properties in Romiley this morning (Friday) under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A 40-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were ‘taken to custody on suspicion of the production of cannabis’.

Police said they will be interviewed later today in a post on the GMP Marple and Hazel Grove Facebook page.

Social services also attended one address due to children being present, the post said.

And officers seized property that may have been bought from the proceeds of crime.
